http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/92413 Allan probably had the second best jumpshot in the NBA after Ray Allen when he was healthy. Seems like he's willing to goto a winner on the cheap. He'll be a defensive liability, but will bring instant offense off the bench and should get plenty of open looks with Yao and TMac being doubled constantly. He's also a coach's son which means he will play within whatever system the coach wants him to play, a VERY good locker room presence, and has a very high basketball IQ from what I remember.
i'm just saying....he's a career 40% 3pt guy and shoots almost 50% FG, which is damn near awesome for a perimeter player.
I just don't trust that knee. If it hurt so bad that it threw him into retirement, you'd have to believe that his jumpshot isn't the same. Also, he was a bit below average on defense while healthy, imagine how it would be now with that knee. Plus, JVG isn't here haha.
I'm just saying...he has no knees. NO KNEES. Remember the Allan Houston rule? This guy was such a drain on his team that the NBA came up with a rule to let the Knicks get rid of him. I bet you a dozen donutes that if he makes a comeback, he won't shoot better than 25% from the 3 and 33% from the 2 - and he won't play more than 40 games.
As a player? Pass... However... If your looking for the next Rocket GM then yea he could be a decent fit. I assume he's already learned how not to build a team so that could be an upgrade.
Why do people post all these threads on old has beens with either physical or mental problems.... Houston is done he has no knees !! hell we might as well sign Pippen and bring Barkley back at 400 pds.....
kinda tempting........but no allan houston isnt what this team needs... instead of wasting our time to grab him the organization needs to put all its energy into tricking a team into giving them rafer and fillers for a awesome pf....
hotballa - shouldn't you be posting more substantive stuff, like meth-addicted trailer-trash moms who go crazy and microwave their babies?
