First, this is not a ridiculous Garnett for anybody trade suggestion.

Loren Woods is a real sore spot for the Wolves, and Jason Collier (as much as I respect his person and game) is not doing much for the Rockets while permanently rooted on the IR.

Could a swap of Woods for Collier straight up benefit each team? I fear making the Wolves stronger, but Woods could make better fit on the Rocks as another backup center. Any thoughts?

nah. No thank you. We don't need a bean pole taking up Collier's absence on the pine. At least Collier has pretty good size. You know it seems like as soon as the Rockets trade one of our players they start to fulfill their potentials in other uniforms. Has anyone else noticed that? Kinda odd!

RNuss02,I agree with you.Collier does have some size.I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting some minutes if he gets fit especially with Mo-T having his own fitness problems.

I would rather have Collier riding the bench for us than Woods. Collier knows his place on the team and is gracious about the little playing time he gets. Plus he isn't actually that bad. Woods has yet to show anything on the court and is likely to create problems when not given much playing time.

Collier has the size, chemistry, ability and heart that makes him a good Rockets team member. However, I fear the Rockets will not renew his contract.

Woods was a highly ranked college center before falling off the map at draft time and has shown some nice quickness and moves when I watched the Wolves play. He is 7-1 or 7-2 and 250 pounds -- taller and only 15 pounds lighter than Collier.

However, I confess I am pleased to hear support for Jason.

Im not sure what your seeing in Collier. No offense to him, but I think if you asked most GM's in the league they would rather have L. Woods then J. Collier.

I would only want to do this trade if we turned around and delt Woods to another team for a 3pt. specialist or something. Defensive point guard or something of that nature. Not a bad idea though thumbs.

jason collier has the heart of a 3rd string center, i mean champion. ill even go out a limb and say that he is the best 3rd string center in the nba. why would we give that away?
seriously though, that trade would not help anyone. woods would get less pt than he gets now and the wolves would not be receiving anyone that could really help them too much.

This would be a great trade! oeilpere mentioned last year that we nearly traded up to draft Loren Woods instead of Eddie! To get Eddie and Loren Woods on the same team! Whoa!

Not on your nellie! We need only to trade when we get a player that improves us significantly!
ie:- Moochie + Mo Taylor + Collier to the Clippers and in the exchange we get BRAND +. Otherwise trades are a waste of time if we don't move Players and Dollars and improve ourselves.
