Hey Guys I currently have a 1997 Black Mitsubishi Eclipse, the paint is fading and I have a couple of dents on certain areas of the car. I want to get a paint job so it won't look so crappy and fix the dents.

I know it is difficult to tell me exactly how much it would cost for a paint job, but around how much have you spent on a paint job and where did you go? Did the paint last?

I really want to begin to fix my car up seeing as I probably won't be buying one in the near future.

    Thanks guys.

On a 97 Eclipse, you would be better of just buying another one that has a finish that is in good shape.

If you want a factor quality paint job, with no overspray or paint defects, you will probably spend more than what your car is worth.

My girlfriend got a $1000 paintjob for $500 at Maaco with their 50 percent off special that they had going on. It was last week that she had that done. It looks a lot better than we thought it would..

I hope it lasts longer than my experience. I got their "Best" paint job and it looked good...for the first year. After that, the paint faded. It was garaged most of the time and they couldn't blame it on not waxing because I wasn't supposed to wax it for 1-2 years and I never use dishwasher soap for car washes. Fortunately it came with a warranty so they painted again. I sold the car before it faded again.

whoa i just got my car painted after i was damaged by ike, it was by a small private company that charged me about 2500 for paint and fixing the dents, they did a decent job but there were some smudges, so i took it back three weeks ago and i havent gotten it back since. i dont mind them taking so long, as long as it comes out good, but now im worried about the long term condition of the paint since it was only a 2000 paint job.
