Republicans in congress don't care about government spending as long as their pals can profit from it.

There's a reason good articles like this do not generate any debate:

    1) The Dems know that this is just business as usual. It's like hearing Lindsey Lohan got arrested again. We've become numb to GOP stupidity.

    2) The Cons either don't understand the implication, and or it doesn't fit into their limited talking points, so they will just screaming Obama/Commiecare at the top of their lungs hoping to drown out any useful conversation.

Cornyn is an older looking version of Governor Good Hair. As Ann Richards might have said, "All hat and no cattle." In this case, all hair and not much in the way of brains, in the case of Perry, or intellect, in the case of Cornyn. With both, it is always about pleasing your contributors, getting reelected, and setting yourself up for when you get out of office. Can the same be said "for all politicians?" I'm sure someone will say so, but there are people in the political arena who will sometimes take a stand, even when they know it is going to hurt them politically. Both of these men do not fit that description. In fact, they are the poster boys for the opposite.
