I love the hate... that means no bandwagon fans. Let's just face it, everyone hates Houston because we suffered the least in the downswing economy and we have the best player in the NBA. If you're on top, you're gonna get hated on.

Lowe, Bill, Jalen, and Jacoby actually joke that "we are getting into NBA After Dark territory now" if they start getting into petty narratives.

That's kinda the whole point of the show. Its the E! Network comedy gossip show dedicated to the NBA. Its actually kinda funny sometimes, but shouldn't be taken seriously. They are just trying to be funny about the ridiculous things that happen in the league.

Not a big deal that they hate the Rockets for a few reasons. Actually either that Chris or Andrew guy admits all the time that he really likes the Rockets. Its more or less just a Juliett L. joke they run with constantly.

It's just a part of the playoffs revenue that they assign to the players and they get to split it amongst themselves. The rest of the Mavs team just voted not to give Rondo anything.

 

I really don't understand the hate that some people apparently feel for the Rockets. I can understand some fans hating us for stealing Howard from LA, and maybe some bandwagoners who were high on OKC and mad at the Rockets for fleecing them on the Harden trade. I have to think the main reason is that people want to believe that data analytics can't ultimately work in basketball, and they resent that the Rockets are successful right now because of it.

It's up to the team on how to distribute, and I think it's often the team captain who decides. But, they only had a pool of $200k to distribute, and they'll sometimes pay out to coaches and trainers and ballboys too. So, it's really not a significant amount of money Rondo would be missing out on. It's more of a **** you from the team than anything monetary.

 

Doesn't make for good radio, that's for sure.
