Copying(backing up, really) a DVD, need help

    I am going to India soon can I want to make copies of my sopranos dvd because I don't want to lose the real ones in India. Nero won't let me copy the disk. What software does let you do this?

    I need to copy my Lord of the Rings DVD. The thing skips in the same place everytime and I'm sick of it. I paid too much to buy another.
