...and people actually thought this guy was smart http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/South/10/26/sniper.letter.graphic/index.html
I noticed how the letter uses "we" and "us." I guess the police didn't want the people to know there was a good possibility there was more than one sniper! I knew the stupid white van was a waste of time.
I heard a comment on the news that "Mr. Police" is a common Jamaican term, telling me that the 17 year old wrote the letter.
so do you think they were lucky? or the cops incompetent? Cause honestly is heckle and jeckle here had walked away from it all about 2 days earlier. . .stashed the evidence . . . .they would still be among us now. . . the stupidiy was continuing to do it wel . . .beyond starting to do it in the 1st place Rocket River The 17 yr old won't be roasted. . . . .i've seen some 13 yrs get adult sentences for less
Yea I think it was dumb luck.. that along with the fact that the entire population had tunnel vision for that stupid white van.
Here's a thought. Next time, when you take down license plate numbers...run them through a computer and analyze patterns for those that appear the most or are repeating. The whole time these guys are driving through road blocks and are stopped. If they go through enough of them, then it is no longer coincidental. They were so focused on a white van that they failed to work with the data to establish any kind of pattern with the data they did have. I believe it was said they had stopped and/or taken down that particular license plate 10 times. How that didn't set off a red flag on its own...I'll never know I guess. Good job otherwise.
