I noticed how the letter uses "we" and "us." I guess the police didn't want the people to know there was a good possibility there was more than one sniper!

I knew the stupid white van was a waste of time.

I heard a comment on the news that "Mr. Police" is a common Jamaican term, telling me that the 17 year old wrote the letter.

Yea I think it was dumb luck.. that along with the fact that the entire population had tunnel vision for that stupid white van.

Here's a thought. Next time, when you take down license plate numbers...run them through a computer and analyze patterns for those that appear the most or are repeating. The whole time these guys are driving through road blocks and are stopped. If they go through enough of them, then it is no longer coincidental. They were so focused on a white van that they failed to work with the data to establish any kind of pattern with the data they did have. I believe it was said they had stopped and/or taken down that particular license plate 10 times. How that didn't set off a red flag on its own...I'll never know I guess.

    Good job otherwise.
