I've been looking for an old school bball sneaker commercial. It was a Reebok commercial I think with Just My Imagination by The Temptations playing in the background, and it featured Cassell, Big Dog Robinson, Kenny Anderson, and somebody else. They were playing on an outdoor court and the guy narrating it said something like "...I'm playing ball with Robinson, Anderson, and my man Cassell, playing ball where my guys play ball..." and then the Temptations song starts playing and the commercial ends. I haven't been able to find it. If anybody has this, please post it.

Literally no memory of this. I'm trying to figure out exactly whose endorsement Nike was really pimping in the first one: Super Dave or Kenny Smith. Exactly what demographic was Albert Brooks' older brother meant to market to? Sports endorsements have really changed since then: more money, pretentiousness and edge (we-must-pro-tect-this-hooouse!!). And Mr. Smith is uncharacteristically wooden. I tell ya, that "playground legend" stuff has really never appealed me, just no frame of reference.
It's a shame this guy's career and personality never lived up to what was probably a near perfect counter-marketing campaign, for both him and Converse.
you've never played pick up basketball at a place where some guys were considered legends. when i was at ut, there was an old gym that has since been remodeled where some guys were considered "legends"

That's probably my most favorite basketball commercial ever. Although I admit they played the hell out of it and I laughed my butt off when I saw the Wayans spoofing it <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PjKnTyeSmxg&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PjKnTyeSmxg&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Or this one I just saw : <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5ymcQj_RG8o&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5ymcQj_RG8o&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
