My best friend's brother's band just recorded their demo. Take a look at The Long Goodbye, you can listen to their stuff and decide if you like it or not. www.thelonggoodbye.net
the long winters peaches robocop krauss the pearlfishers pretty girls make graves simian and again HOT HOT HEAT
Hot Hot Heat should have had their break out year last year, but I guess there are still a lot of people who haven't even heard of them.
They're so last year. Give me a quick blurb about each of those bands you mentioned, Palm. Type of music, etc. Btw, Turbonegro rocked (against) ass last week in Austin. Fabulous show.
The Mars Volta put out a surprisingly incredible cd a few months ago. For emo fans (no need to admit it), I'd advise checking out the Coheed and Cambria disc that should be coming out shortly. The new OutKast looks to be pretty sweet, obviously. I urge any metal fans who haven't picked up Lamb of God's "As the Palaces Burn" this year to stop being so stoopid.
Well, I'm sure every band has released some small singles and demo before they release their first LP, but I don't think they've actually "arrived" until that first LP is released.
