I second that, although those mixes tend to be pretty strong, so maybe use a little less than they recommend

Man, that is some good eatin right there. After working in the UK, I really really miss some good curry. I have not found a decent curry house in Austin... Sniff... DD
yeah i caught that too  and regarding the recipe, he didn't say anything about the already cooked chicken he was using....i bet that had another 15 ingredients involved
Austin is pretty bad for Indian/Pakistani food. Some people like Shalimar, but I think it's pretty gross. And Clay Pit is an overpriced joke. Try London Sizzler next time you're in Houston.
use hi quality curry powder, don't try to make it with cumin. My problem was that at first, and obviously getting ingredients at an asian/indian store will help a lot
London Sizzler is off the hook, the variety platter is awesome. I would also suggest Shiva Indian Restaurant, and if you are looking for a twist on the normal pizza hit up Bombay Pizza Co. 914 Main Street Ya they got the Slumdog Pizza lol
If your inside the loop and in a hurry try Ashkas at 1502 Durham in the Ace Hardware parking lot, a sliver trailer that serves a great curry at great prices, veggie Samsoas are a must as well. Your welcome!
Austin is horrible for Indian food. Clay Pit is freaking garbage. Too expensive and bland as hell. I have to ask for "as spicy as possible" to make it remotely spicy. The other Indian restaurants arent too great either. London Sizzler is all right but its pretty spicy for most people. I bet DaDa might think its a bit too spicy.
I don't care much for really spicy hot food. But probably the best Indian food I ever had in Houston was at this restaurant called India's. But this was a long time ago so not sure what it's like now or if it's even there.
I live about 2 mins from this and drive by it everyday. I had noticed it pop up a few months ago and have been meaning to check it out. Thanks for the tip.
I've been craving some Indian food lately. Recommendation noted. Even though you weren't talking to me, thanks for the heads up!
