Converting Video Reel to DVD

What's the best way to go about doing this (not myself, but paying for it)? Is it very costly?

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about a reel of film? I had some 8mm film copied to DVD at National Camera Exchange and it was reasonable - sorry, but I don't remember the price.

Their process was to copy it to DV tape and then to DVD. I stopped them at the DV process and finished the copying to DVD myself.
