Hey, hope some of you guru's can help me out again. I am trying to reduce a .wmv file down onto my Archos 605, and every time I run it through a standard program, in the new .avi file, the audio gradually de-sync's with the video, and by the end, it at least 7 or 8 seconds off. Is there a program out there that any of you might know of which fixes this sync problem? Or, perhaps a type of setting to look for and correct within a standard program such as PocketDivxEncoder, or Prism? I don't see anything in them.. Thanks
^ have you used this before, or just know about it? I am asking because the website is asking for money after 30 days. Also, will it convert to AVI from WMV? It seems like it only encodes onto MPG. Nero, try ©Super. It's free and it converts any audio/video to audio, and any video to video. It is highly intense in memory, but it should do what you need.
I used it before and it does pretty much any converting, as for the whole 30 day thing... I guess I somehow magically found a way around that.
Swoly, I am having a hard time searching for the (c)Super, is there a a link? And the TGMP program seems to be functional, but if I ask it to convert to .avi, it tells me that it will take about 50 hours to convert about 37 minutes of video.. no good there. It works to .mpg, sort of, but refuses to retain the original resolution of 720x400, plus I am not going to buy the extra plug-in for the Archos, if they even sell it any more, so .mpg isn't going to work either. I will play with it some more, but yeah I would like to try the Super on you mention, but searching on the word 'Super' is, um, unhelpful. Nero
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html . Read and scroll through the pages. You might have to click a few times, and then it gets to the download page at the bottom. That 50 hours is just determined by the amount of data vs. the amount of processing speed, but I doubt it's going to take 50 hours the way it says. Let it run for a couple of hours and you'll see that time diminish faster. Try that solution before installing more software onto the PC.
i use Any Video Converter for my zune. i noticed the audio was out of sync when i first used it, but found the solution. you have to go into settings and raise the sync level (sorry, can't really tell you specifically what it is, i'm at work). why that is even an option i don't know. but the converter is free and works like a charm.
