Does anyone know of a good, completely free way to convert large PDF documents into MS Word (or even text) format? All of the free trials I have tried (and I've tried a ton of them) all have limitations (ie: they only convert the first 3-5 pages of the document, insert large black bars, etc..). Any help would be appreciated.

PDF is the “portable” way of sharing Word Documents; without the full version of Adobe Acrobat, you may not be able to get all the formatting back from a document in PDF that was originally a Word document. Alas, many PDF documents today are “protected” and can’t return from non-editable form.

As with any other software, please contact your Technical Support department before installing, save all your documents and back them up before making any changes to your computer.

    I hope this helps.

If I wanted a link to Google, I would have asked for it. I wouldn't have posted here without doing a thorough search. There just doesn't seem to be a complete, free converter program out there.

Are these trial programs limited in any way? If so, they are not what I'm looking for. I have enough useless free trials.

Sorry- I didn't mean to offend. You have no idea of how many people DON'T use Google.

What is Google? I only use altavista and netscape search. Am I missing out on something?

I still use Compuserve as my primary ISP and Prodigy as my backup ISP.

There are many ways to do it, but they will almost always sample it on you. You could try copier scan software and see if you can get those to work. I think one that ocr's and has a free trial is e-copy. Doubt it will work tho.

I bought a nifty program the the other day that takes a mega page PDF and turns it into an HTML book in seconds. Very nice. But had to pay for it.

No prob. That irks me too, which is probably why I was offended that you lumped me in with those people.

You aren't funny and haven't been for a long while. If you don't have any helpful suggestions, then stay out of my thread. Your shtick is getting rather lame.
