Most cd burning programs do the converting for you. I use Click 'n Burn pro and all you have to do is drag and drop mp3's into Click n Burn and they are converted to audio files (not wav) for use in any cd player.

    I guess it works.

I just figured that usually, you have to turn mp3s to wavs. I didn't think that you could just burn mp3s into a cd and listen to them on your stereo or car

It depends....most burning programs ask you what type of cd you want to make (Audio, file storage, re-writeable)...Many newer car stereo systems have mp3 playing capabilities. I had one in a car I recently sold that would play mp3's, so I was able to put 160+ songs on a single cd and play it in the car. Normally, audio files are 10 times bigger than mp3s, so you only get 16-18 songs per cd
