    Hey Guys,

I don't post here much but I read the board all day at work. I've been seeing the same things as you guys have about T-Mac about being traded or being unhappy. So I got tired of it and emailed Jonathan about it. I thought what better way to find information out about our own team then to email someone that's actually from Houston that would have Rockets insight information. I hope this will calm down some of the fighting going on the board.

    Steve

They are not looking to trade McGrady and have not discussed it with another team. They certainly would not want one of the Bulls' mistakes. The unhappy stuff has been dramatically overplayed. He is typical moody McGrady. Nothing new there, though.

    Hello Jonathan,

I love reading your articles on the chronicle. I think you give great information when it comes to the Rockets. I wanted to get some information on two issues that have been popping up, and I think it would be best if someone from Houston clear this up. Are the Rockets really looking to trade Tracy McGrady? Yesterday on ESPN, Marc Stein reported that the Bull and Rockets have done some talking about possible trade that involves Tracy McGrady. Not only that, there has been at least four articles saying that he is unhappy in Houston and the Rockets are exploring the possible trade that will send him out of here. Marc also mention that management is not happy with him and that he is also not happy with them. I think the Rockets fans want to get to the bottom of this. I think if they trade him, they'll not get what they are looking for. What is your take or any information that you might have on this?

My second question is do you think there is a possible trade for the Rockets before the deadline? I really believe that they'll hold off on any mid-season trades this year. I think since the offense is coming together and the overall play of the Rockets has started to change, I have to believe they'll look at their options this summer. Just wanted your take on this.

Thanks for your time. Keep up the wonderful work you do for the Chronicle.

anyone with half a brain knows the Rockets are not going to shop T-Mac.

Morey says that much on the radio, Feigen always says that much and I have never heard T-Mac ever complain about being in Houston

I don't think that McGrady is going to be traded, but Houston writers seem to always say what the Rockets want them to say, so I wouldn't take this comment as the gospel truth.

And when was the last time that they ever mentioned a trade for the Rockets either... until after it was announced...

What smart GM would openly talk on the radio too that they are shopping their star player? Talk about a way to make sure that you get the least return for a player.

But like I said before, I don't see McGrady going anywhere.

Well said. On both. (And I have zero clue as to the thinking of/by/on TMac by either him or Rox.)

Actually, I enjoy them both (well, not Sam Smith and yes - to the vintage Vecsey).

Little O is right. The only insight Feigen has is being the mouthpiece for the organization. It's not his fault. He is just reporting what he has being told. It is smart of the organization to see how the season plays out with McGrady and I also don't see him getting traded. But you can't tell me they haven't listened to preliminary discussions from other teams.

I dont see Tmac going anywhere either...

but... neither do I see the team... bottom line is even with Tmac back we wont win a title... not with him leading this team...

Id be surprised if we make it out of the first round....

its 11 years and counting for Tmac

Holy crap you emailed someone with credibility and they responded? Thats freaking ingenious. Next time I am going to email McGrady, his wife, or even his agent and just ask.

    Go figure

yea but the whole one guy "leading us" thing is overrated, its about consistency as a team.

for example, many would say tim duncan is the "leader" of the spurs, but is he really ? hes not emotional or vocal and rarely is he the one hitting the big shot in the closing minutes. ginobili, horry, tony parker and even michael finley have been doing it....its really not about one guy. if we play as a team and our guys do what they are capable of we can win. right now, i have faith in this TEAM, not just faith in t-mac. the way we are playing right now i can just see the potential that we have in this offense, while maintaining the same defense we had under JVG.

And look at what crap they got in return for it.

I'm not saying that Morey is lying because he most likely is not, but unless you have to get rid of a player (which is not the case with McGrady, but was the case with Shaq), a GM is not going to say that they want to trade anyone that they want to get good value for.
