stuff like this can be faked or fabricated so easily.

without knowing any details the video itself doesn't show any faces, ppl speaking, or any identifiable clue. it's hard to decide one way or another.

bigtexxx, I have seen no evidence provided that it is a fake. I would be greatly relieved if it weren't real, though.

Generally the burdon of proof lies with the person making the charge. This is from the Washington Post which is generally credible. It isn't a fly-by-night organization.

If you are going to make a charge(that it is fake) then you should provide proof.

 

In fact, the conclusion I draw from this board is, Generally the burden of proof lies with the person who says he/she is liberal.. That applies to any topic.

What kind of message is texxx sending the military when he thinks they are foolishly investigating a fake video?

In the days following Katrina there was a military shut down of New Orleans. There were security checkpoints to get in and out and one had to have a guarded escort. Most of such escorts were private security groups comprised of people who were on vacation from Iraq.

In a trip to attempt to salvage historical artifacts from private houses, Blackwater Security led our group into New Orleans. Most were special ops type guys with fully automatic weapons at the ready.

You had to go in as a caravan with security vehicles being at the front and rear. The head of the outfit said that the caravan must stay together and at no point can anyone stop - if a civilian car gets in the way, they will use sidewalks etc.

He then commented that it was easier in Iraq where they could ram/drive people off of the road at intersections and such things whenever they wanted.

So, yeah, these guys and traffic do not mix well.

 

and then you wonder why people detest "westerners" who try to "free" the civillians.

 

Question though. How do they know that the vehicles being shot at were not filled with hostile individuals that had followed the contractors from a job site?

Perhaps they escaped the job site, and were defending themselves?
