Have you guys ever heard of NBA players restructuring their contracts so their team can add some pieces?

Unlike the NFL, I believe restructured contracts are not allowed under the CBA.

Restructuring doesn't happen in the NBA like in the NFL. All money is guaranteed in the NBA and contracts can not be modified. The MLE and LLE was designed to help salary capped teams.

I believe Jeff already answered this question. It can't happen in the NBA like in the NFL

    FALSE

Barkley was an unrestricted free agent and he agreed to sign for less money in order to allow the Rockets to make the sign-and-trade for Pippen.

The CBA does not allow restructuring of EXISTING contracts for the benefits of freeing money to sign additional players.

Even if it was possible, neither Juwan or TMac would do this. They both need to save up for retirement. :)

Well with that....our Salary Cap is #14 in the NBA. Will we be willing to increase our payroll? The other teams ahead of us right now include the top teams in the NBA, like Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, Miami, Denver, even the Warriors have a higher payroll that us.

Also teams like the Knicks, Blazers, 76ers, Pacers, and Wolves are higher than the Rockets. (bad moves)

Do you guys see us increasing our payroll?
