www.Foxnews.com Breaking News > Continental Plane Crashes into Home Near Buffalo, N.Y.; Local Media Report 49 Killed
Just saw an interview with a guy whose sister was on the flight and flying in to visit him while on break from law school. Sad stuff. Looks like everyone perished. May God comfort their loved ones.
Damn, all of these crashes and I have a flight to Puerto Rico in a few weeks and I've never flown before. I'm getting freaked out man!

I'm an aviation enthusiast so this is of particular interest to me, this is obviously very sad but this type of aircraft although new has had a shaky history but this crash is supposedly due to the weather.
Lives are lives no matter what aircraft is involved, but this is not Continental Airlines. It Continental Connection operated by Colgan Air, who has a fleet of propeller aircraft, not your typical jet aircraft operated by Continental or regional jets operated by Continental Express (Express Jet). I flat out refuse to fly in propeller aircraft because I've had wild experiences in them before. Very very sad.
You know that its COLGAN AIR, but people will blame Continental Airlines on this, just sad at loss of life....
Umm, Im a Pilot for CO and I used to fly for Colgan flying the Q400. I can tell you this plane is a very good plane. Very Sad news. Prayers go out.
Ahhhh geez, that's terrible. So much for our 'no loss of life on an American jetliner' streak we had going. Thoughts and prayers.....
I still remember years ago when I had a business trip to Taiwan and had to take a domestic flight from Taipei to GaoHsiong, that's my first time taking a propeller aircraft. That was a hell of experience.
A 9/11 widow was on that plane....going somewhere to celebrate what would have been her lost husband's 58th birthday. Unbelievable.
This is very sad. I saw it come on breaking news here at about 11PM last night. I get all the local Buffalo stations, as I live about 50 miles outside of Buffalo. I wouldn't think they would have been flying yesterday, as it was a rain/snow mixture with wind gusts of like 40 something MPH. But I guess they say planes are well equipped for that stuff. I actually almost got in an accident on the interstate yesterday due to the weather. I was driving home, and my car was blown across the two lanes, and as I hit the shoulder of the road, I regained control. It was pretty scary. What's even scarier is that I'm supposed to take that exact flight in less than 2 months. I'm flying from Buffalo to Newark, and then Newark to Houston, and vice verse on the return trip. RIP to everyone.+
On the US Air flight that went down in the Hudson, on board was the brother of a guy who died in the WTC. On 60 Minutes, the brother said he was thinking his family couldn't handle another plane tragedy. Very sad for the 9/11 widow's family.
