    What a way to end the finals... 102-100 was the final. Shawn Marion did it... the Blazers had the ball with 13 seconds left and a chance for the win, tied at 100. He stripped Pierce with 5 seconds left, called a timeout, and then hit the game winner from 18 feet over Pierce's outstretched arms. Game over, season over, Sixers win the championship.

    Cat, after you have done the boxscores do you mind giving playoff averages for the champions? I think quite a few have upped their stats considerably from the season.

    76ers players 1st season - Choke
    76ers new roster season 2 - Clutch!!!

    Marion was the only starter who survived my team from season 1 - and he is the most Clutch of all!!! Then I never ever blamed him for last seasons choke - That burden fell on Allen Iverson and company.

    Heath and others,

    I am unable to get overall playoff numbers for this year. After I finished copying down the box score for Game 6, I figured we were done with the playoffs, and I clicked the button to go onto the next sim season, so I could begin doing all of the trades that need to be effective now. Again, I'm very sorry about this-- I thought everyone was finished with the playoffs.

    Also, forgot to mention above that Smeg deserves some praise as well... he got that team past all the West teams, including San Antonio and Dallas, and they put up one hell of a fight in the Finals. They almost took game 2, and then, after going down 3-0, they fought back. They won game 4 at the buzzer. They won game 5 playing great defense against a Sixer team taking the last shot. And, after trailing almost all of game 6, they appeared that they might've pulled out that game too if not for Shawn Marion's heroics. Big win for Heath, but congrats go out to Smeg also... I have a feeling he'll be back contending again next season.

    Damn fun reading up on last years congrats VOR thread. Oh, did I ever take heat for trading away Iverson to Nomar and the Grizz.

    Bibby and Swift was the package, Iverson was not. This was very much proved this year. [​IMG]
    Nomar was expected to big thing in the west, and didn't even qualify for the playoffs, I was expected to struggle in the east (who was given no chance anyway to compete with the west).

    Before you go say that the Iverson deal didn't happen as it was called back, remember that we redid the deal when the misunderstanding about the rookie pick was cleared up (I thought I had the pick that would have landed me Kwame Brown or Eddie Griffin if available). I know the 2nd deal was better for me than the first deal, but I thought the 2nd deal was even in what I thought I would be getting in the first deal. And no matter what deal we talk about, the only players swapped for season 2 was Bibby and Swift for Iverson - all other parts was future picks or picks already included in the first deal.

    I will also have to congratulate Wizards with their amazing showing last season and this season. I know I called it choke in season 1, but I think all will do when a seed 2 loses out to a seed 1. But fact is they gave me most struggle in last seasons playoffs (duh - as they did beat me in the first round), and they gave me most fits in this seasons playoffs.

    What I also saw in that thread was that VOR said he would rebuild for season 3 - I guess this is the place to announce I will be back for season 4 - the season I scheduled myself to win in the first place when I did the Iverson deal. (Still have Grizzlies pick for next season) [​IMG]

    Good luck to all for season 3 - and who ever comes out of the east - remember this seasons Sixers and do not lay down to die against the west. (Now if I only can trade back Dream I will be back for this season also) [​IMG]
