Daryl Morey received zero first place votes for Executive of the Year since he signed Dwight Howard and turned this team into potential title contender without tanking. He gets no respect from his colleagues. James Harden IS OUT OF TOP 5 on nba.com fan vote for NBA MVP, bringing the labels like "Rockets are to boring to watch". Nobody cares about Rockets offensive and defensive efficiency MVP voting was obviously a joke, not only a result but also a differential in points National media guys are giving Rockets almost no chance to advance against Flop City This is not irrational, this is what hate is all about. And I would love to be a part of new "San Antonio Spurs from ten years ago" version. Try to imagine that since David Robinson' retirement, there were no awards for Pop after 2003 till their reshifting, no awards for Buford also, Duncan has no first place MVP votes in 11 consecutive seasons (Parker got 4 once, when they've won 62 games), but they are still among powerhouses every year, always relevant and debatable for the top-3 team in the league. Nobody could say that Pop, Duncan or Buford weren't NBA elite in that period of time. They were called BORING, like James and Dwight FT shooting I'm OK with being "Spurs boring". Especially if it translates well into a winning column
Long ways to go buddy...at some point this team has to win a title...to even look to the Spurs in the same light. The Rockets are close...very close. But we all have to be thrilled about how James Harden has evolved from a bench star to an MVP candidate. Great things are yet to come for the Beard. Cant wait for tonight!!!
Morey/McHale is clearly borrowing from Pop the master on keeping Dwight rested and healthy for playoffs. I am impressed.
National media is giving us no chance to advance against Flop City? Don't think it works like that, buddy.
Howard didn't rest, he was injured. If Morey and McHale value rest so much, how come Harden and Ariza were 1st and 3rd in minutes played and missed 1 game( Harden suspension)?
LOL. So media are hating us for going past the first round once in 7 years and winning nothing in over 20 years?
Winning does not matter. It's all about hype Spurs were the most consistent team in the NBA since they've won a Title in 2003. Their winning percentage is the best through that period. Duncan was obviously their best player in at least 8 of those 11 seasons. Their worse result was winning a 50 when their bench unit was: Dejuan Blair, Roger Mason, Keith Bogans and 35 years old Antonio McDyess, they've won a fifty even in lockout shortened season of 66 games. It's about being flashy, it's not only being a winner.

Dwight's surgery and minute restriction returns are all set up for him to be fully healthy in the playoffs, ignoring regular season games. There is no need to rest young players.
These awards are a popularity contest to a degree. Curry is more popular and more marketable than Harden. Just like Nash was against Kobe in 05-06.
