Even though I was rooting against them for bracket purposes, I have to say I can't hate on the first repeat champs in more than a decade. I initially bought the argument that they won the championship last year due to peaking at the right time and a weak tournament field. Then these guys went out and just turned their play up in the tournament this year. They were the only final 4 team that didn't get threatened before the final 4, and they dismantled UCLA and OSU. I don't know how many minutes they trailed in the tournament, but I don't think it was much, just a totally dominant performance. There are so many things to like about this team on the court, from the way their players step up in big games to the unselfishness displayed by their best players. The national championship game was the perfect display for this Florida team as the big men spent their efforts defensively on Oden at the expense of individual stats. Noah in particular definitely hurt his draft stock by not playing much vs OSU, but he understood that ganging up on Oden was the best strategy and was the biggest cheerleader for his teammates as Oden grew tired and Florida's lead grew bigger.
Love any time that an SEC member can flex its muscles and show the rest of the nation that it is the best all around conference.
