He was named a starter on the AFC Pro Bowl team...Finally something positive out of the Houston Texans this year.
DeMeco did in as an Alternate. Here's the proof of AJ getting in... http://www.nfl.com/probowl/afc_roster It's amazing that AJ got in considering his QB sucks.
Honestly...I like AJ and I'm not sure he deserved this. He led the league in receptions on a team that consistently dumped off to him. That's it. I can't recall any breakaways or anything spectacular from him. He's scored a grand total of 5 TD's. But...it's nice to have the Texans represented with at least one starter.
he'll be on there soon enough. he's a rookie. wilson is the leader of a kick-ass defense in Denver. it's just a matter of time and experience.
Must be that rookies dont get no respect thing. Thats dumb. Just like when Dunta didnt make it his rookie season and he had like 7 Ints. Demeco is one of the best linebackers in the AFC already.
Denver defense isn't great. They were the first three games of the season but since they haven't been that much better than the Texans.
Demeco had nearly 40 more tackles than Wilson, 2.5 more sacks than Wilson, and more interceptions than Wilson. Not to mention Demeco leads the league in solo tackles by 13. Just not right.
I agree. Receptions is very misleading. He has made a lot of good catches but he has made some huge drops. Lee Evans and Laveranues Coles are having similar years but on better teams and better QB's.
depends on what stats you're looking at. when plummer was setting up the other teams inside their own 50 each time, it didn't help much. i think denver's defense is really good. i'd say it's the biggest reason why they've had what success they've had this season. and al wilson is a big part of that.
Give Andre some credit. He does get his stats with David Carr as his QB.If he had at least an average QB throwing to him,his stats would amazing...
I think AJ deserved a spot on the team. Maybe not necessarily as a starter. You can't over look what should end up being 100+ receptions. He has had some untimely drops. Many of his catches are dumpoffs. He is worthy of a spot on the team, just not as starting spot. Ryans on the other hand should be starting. Not just on the team. Not just an alternate. He should be the starting MLB for the AFC, period.
i'm not trying to criticize him. but he doesn't play with a QB like that, so it's just speculation. he cut a ton of dump passes this year. he scored 5 TD's...that doesn't feel like a pro bowl starter's season to me.
