As much as I wanted to see a LA vs. LA showdown that's not going to happen. However, I think the Clippers vs. Suns is going to be another great series with potential to be even better than Lakers vs. Suns. The Clippers play a similar style of game to the Suns in that they can run and gun as well yet they also have a half court game with Kaman and Brand inside. Furthermore, the Clippers have been resting and getting healthy which will prove very beneficial to not only Sam Cassell, Magette, Brand, Kaman etc who have all been nursing minor injuries. My prediction is a record setting in points for a playoff game series combined for both teams if there is such a category and a Clippers victory in 6. GO CLIPPERS!!! Sidenote- getting to see more Cassell and Mobley never hurts a Rockets fan.
Kwame "the Bust" Brown gave some problems to the Suns inside imagine what Caveman & Brand can do to them this series will also reestablish the value of a true (& tall) center IMO, every playoff contender needs a inside threat to suceed that's why Shaq's Lakers and Duncan's Spurs were contenders Suns and Mavs are not mark my wordz: clippers sweep them back to their dust bowl city in FOUR games
I'm just hoping that the two best centers of all time in Kaman and Dampier will get to match up in the WC Finals...
Here's my prediction.... As long as Clippers keep pounding it inside with Kaman and Brand,they will be successful. However, as much as I like Cassell and Mobley, they still play stupid ball sometimes. They both still take ill advised shots at crucial times and that willc ome to haunt them. It hurts 2X as much if you take bad shots agianst Suns. Still the same Mobley from Rockets days.
