cool story bro time and maybe tl;sr time as well saturday afternoon i decided to go to movie2k and watch the avengers, about a minute in i get prompted with a message that says its from the fbi, they had locked my computer for copyright infringement and i needed to pay a fine immediately, i was worried for about 10 minutes, but then figured out it was just a virus, this is the virus that i caught http://blog.yoocare.com/computer-locked-by-fbi-moneypak-virus-asking-to-pay-200-fine-to-unlock/ it got me thinking about the pink slip virus in the southwest airline commercials, have any of you caught crazy viruses like that?
entered safe mode and restored to previous date then i scanned for malware and then i scanned with microsoft security essentials
I received the windows virus where it prompts you to buy some software to get rid of the virus. I fixed it by doing the same thing, safe mode and removing it. Seeing that i still had the same pc from 2001, I decided to buy a new one.
