everytime i google something - i get good results, but when i click on a result i get redirected to other pages (example i went to click on walgreens website and got a online pharmacy redirect. Or when i googled nba statistics and clicked on a page on the nba site - i got redirected to a sportswear online store)...

i've run ad-aware and spybot first regularly and then in safe-mode.

i'm particularly worried because this is the computer my 9 year old uses.

    thanks in advance for help

Clear your history then all your cookies. Run your virus scan, adware scan, malware scan, and spyware scan. I would recommend downloading and running all the programs that Vengeance lists in his signature. See if that helps.

If you are using Internet explorer, switch to fire fox.

There might be an intermediate link before the trojan is redirecting you to a website. If you can stop the browser (esc button) and copy the link, then you can find the domain. An example of this would be one of google's Sponsored Links:
    Code:
    http://www.google.com/url?sa=L&ai=B8h-lqjnVRfjuNIS8hQOn5dBN7sG6D7rC18wByojekAHAsS4QARgBILZUKAg4AVDdi7KGBmDJ3uiGyKOQGZgB53OYAfCGAZgBuJIGmAH7kgaYAYyTBqoBHm9yZy5tb3ppbGxhOmVuLVVTOm9mZmljaWFsK2Nmc8gBAYACAQ&num=1&q=http://www.readingrockets.org&usg=__NbVlDF53Oyq0iw95kIyuzhdZ4dg=
Google gets credit for redirecting you to that website.

If you snatch that domain (google.com), and then search it plus the word spyware, then you'll know what you're infected with.

Anti-virus is for suckers. Sounds like a good time to format your hard drive and stop trying to get free ringtones.
