I have no idea how my girlfriend's computer got a virus, but I believe it was through outlook express somehow. I was on there and Norton started going nuts. It found the following virus: \\ACER\C\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SCam32.exe W32Sircam.Worm@mm virus Because I'm an idiot, I chose not to delete the file fearing that it was a crucial file and that it might mess other things up. Currently, her Norton WILL NOT work... it says it needs to be reinstalled. However, I can't get online to d/l it. Also, it seems the virus is doing other things. I pressed CTRL ALT DEL and saw that random programs were being run (named like D32xyz or TRL16ius, and just random names). Every time I restart the computer, more of these programs are being run and i just shut them down. PLEASE HELP!!! I couldn't find the SCam32.exe file because her computer is not an ACER and there is no ACER folder in her system. She lives in a dorm so is it possible to have gotten it through the network neighborhood? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, F2K1

Thanks man, I'll d/l the fix when my g/f gets back from class.. I swear, whomever writes these freaking viruses needs to be castrated!! I hope my comp isn't infected because I keep getting weird windows messages too!
fix it quick... sircam is a very nasty virus... it hides in the registry and the recycle bin. sircam messes with your RUN32.dll file which is vital for opening windows and programs. once that file is corrupted it's very difficult to run windows correctly. NOTE to everyone: get some sort of virus protection software and keep it updated!
