How do I keep this message from popping up. It only pops up when I am in hotmail. It says Spybot-S&D Resident in the blue Then the message says Spybot S&D reports that you want to download "Avenue A, Inc" . This is a known threat. Do you want to BLOCK this download? Yes or No It doesn't matter whether I click yes or no it continues to pop up everytime I am in hotmail. Someone please help.
The only thing I can think of is that both of you have used the "Immunize" feature in Spybot and it's trying to protect you from something. You could got to the "Excludes" section of Spybot and check the "Avenue A, Inc" box under "Cookies."
You should have the choice, if you open up Spybot from the Start Menu, to pick "eas" or "advanced" mode. If you choose advanced, "Excludes" is one of the options on the left side of the program.
I hate computers. The toolbar from google though has really helped stopped the popup ads. I love it. Plus it looks cool.
I agree that the Google toolbar stops popups, but the problem I am having isn't with popups. Anyone have a cure for our problem yet?
one word: MANUAL, F1, or RTFM i am tired of doing things people can do themselves... should I start charging?
If you're tired of doing it, don't. That's the beauty of a BBS like this. You don't have to if you don't want to. But I really can't think of a good reason why someone would get put out for having to type sixteen characters. As for charging, I wouldn't plan on making my livelyhood from it if I were you. There are enough cool people on this board who don't mind helping out when they know the answer to something.
