The dash key on my keyboard is intermittently stuck. I cleaned the keyboard, but that didn't solve the problem, so I bought a new keyboard. I still have a problem with the dash key being intermittently stuck, even with a new keyboard. I don't think it's the keyboard or cable, and have not been able to find any useful information on the web. Rebooting sometimes helps, but sometimes not, as the problem comes and goes. You might want to check the keyboard connection that feeds into your computer case. Maybe there is dust or fuzz that is causing a poor connection. If you have canned air or something that might clean that connection, you might want to try this. I suppose it could be a problem on the motherboard, but I have no clue how to verify that. Then again, it could all just be part of "The Conspiracy".
Do you have a hyphenated name? Could be a practical joke, like outgoing Clinton administration removing the "w" key from all the keyboards
