For some reson my cousin still has his old computer from 1998 and is still using snd runnign windows 98 on it well hes having some troubles and remember that a lot of guys on here are familiar with computer stuff here is what he says happens he says it starts riuninng and does ok for a minute or so andf when its trying tom boot up it says 'file creation error' then nothing happens afer that i told him to go buy a new computer just kidding but do any of you know whta the problem could be
its been awhile since ive worked with 98, but id try to edit the autoexec.bat and see why its trying to create a file. try booting it up, and escaping the windows load and go to ms-dos. put in "edit autoexec.bat" under the windows directory...and.. ahhh what the hell. i forgot this stuff. but seriously, editing that file will show u what is starting up. if you put it at the default, maybe ur problem will clear up. hope it works...and sorry if im not so helpful. but seriously...tell your cousin to get a new computer or something.
Seriously, anyone still running a computer that old doesn't really deserve any help unless they are so poor that they are living in poverty. Let me guess, he's still connecting to the internet through dial-up?
RyanED, is that you? I am looking for what your cousin is still using: "snd runnign windows 98". It's not on any software store's catalog. Are you sure it's a computer and not an abacus?
