I'm upgrading my computer by installing a P3 700 on my ASUS P2B motherboard. I know you can do this because the ASUS site had a great page called "Coppermine Solutions" that gave me all the pertinent information. Unfortunately, for the last few days, the ASUS site has been ****ed up and I can't get to the info I need. Does anybody know of another MB site that would give me the bios information and tell me how to set the voltage etc.?
There are a few ASUS enthusiast sites out there that talk about overclocking the P2B, but if you have access to a newsreader, the best place to post your question would be the newsgroup : alt.comp.periph.mainboard.asus. Make sure you have the right BIOS and PCB version... but according to your post, it seems you already have. And change your nick... become a Rockets fan (ignore the whole Bulls thing last night).
Thanks DOD! About that nick thing, it might just be time to do that. It's strange but I'm feeling a greater affinity for the Rockets after the last few games. Wonder why that is. And perhaps Steve F. has suffered his penance. After all, if losing 7 straight, including a 17 point loss to the thieving Memphibians and a 28 point loss to the Bulls isn't suffering, I don't know what is. OUCH!!! As pathetic as it is right now, this is actually a pretty interesting team. The Rocks player personnel people must have full blown multiple personality disorder. How else do you explain/understand the drafting of Cat in the second round, the masterful trade for EG, and the extraction of Torres from the ether, juxtaposed with the drafting of Collier, the signing of Cato, and acquisition of Rice? Nobody could be that smart, and nobody could be that dumb. It is a conundrum indeed, and that makes it all the more interesting.
