My iBook's hard drive died. It will not load up OSX and makes clicking noises. A friend said it's the hard drive that is finished. Told me if I want my mp3's and pictures I would need to do a data recovery. Problem is I don;t know anyone that will for a Mac. Plus he said it might run me anywhere from $100-$200.

Anyone know of any places or individuals at reasonable prices?

MIght need an External Hard Drive for the mp3's also.

Clicking noises=probably shot. Every data recovery service I've ever had any contact with charges 20 to 50 times your friend's estimate- $2000-5000 easy.

I hope that there IS a place that is that cheap for your sake. In fact, if it exists, please post thier contact info because I can probably send them some business.
