I have bought a new pc last week. However i have a problem with connecting to the network connection of my Wifi...

I use a USB receiver to connect my PC to my network connection. However the first day when i tried to connect my pc to internet there were some problems (the network of my Wifi didn’t accept my password. So I tried a couple of things and I succeeded to connecting to the internet trough my network connection when I made a home network.

However when I turned my computer on the next day it couldn't connect to internet. So I deleted my home network from my pc. However now when I look for the Wifi network connections my internet wifi doesn't show anymore. The wifi network connections of all my neighbours do show (so my usb receiver does work properly.

On all my other devices (phone. i-pad) I do get internet from my wifi network connection.

Does anybody know what the problem is, and how I can fix it?

Have you reset the router yet?

    What OS are you running?

Uninstall the WiFi extender and reinstall with the latest drivers from the web.

What WiFi extender are you using?

    More info needed.

What is your modem model number?

    2 steps.
Step 1 is determining where the problem is.

There are 2 legs of the connection.
1 from your PC to the modem.
The other is from the modem to your ISP/internet.

First, I would suggest connecting to the modem via a LAN cable.

Make sure you can now connect to the internet.
If you can, then the modem to the ISP/internet leg of the connection
    is working.
If not, then you have a problem connecting to your ISP.

    Assuming the above is working,
Then connect to the modem's admin web page.

Usually this is 192.168.1.1 but depends on the modem model and manufacturer.
    Should be in the manual.

And then from there, you can configure the modem,
ie whether the broadcast id of the modem is visible or invisible.
And you can set the wifi password etc...

Once you are happy with the settings, save your changes and disconnect the
    lan cable.

If your wifi on your PC is on, it should "find" the modem id (I think would be called
    an SSID?).

Click to connect to the mog in dem and it should prompt you for your password.

If you cant see it, it could either be the setting in the modem to be "invisble"
or the wireless on your PC is not switched on.

Make sure it is switched on.

Let me know how you go.

    Good luck.

Not sure if im following you correctly, but it sounds like you deleted your pc to wifi connection because it wasn't connecting and you just didn't set it up again. That would explain why it's the only device that isn't finding/showing it.

Sounds like your router is operating on a channel that USB receiver probably doesn't like?

I know for a fact on my Moto X, it doesn't like certain channels under the 5ghz spectrum.

Log in to your router, most common default gateway is 192.168.1.1 , login with your default router creds, and change the channel. Choose 1, 6, or 11
