    Ok, here's my problem....

I downloaded IMesh, and succeded in running it and downloading files. I'm happy about myself. (YAY!! :D ) Anyway, I double click on my Internet Explorer desktop shortcut and nothing happens. After a few seconds I get an error message saying that IE has encountered problems, and whether I want to send an error message or not. Urgh.
I do a re-installation of IE, which is unsucessful. I do a repair of IE, which is also unsucessful. Now I'm starting to get pi**ed off. Eventually, I do a complete uninstallation of IMesh hoping it will fix the problem. Surprise, surprise, I still get the same error message.  I do more unsucessful re-installations and repairs.

I can still access the Internet by going into My Computer and typing in a URL. Also, when I go into Windows Explorer and click on the Internet Explorer icon, I can access the Internet. Argh. So, it's something to do with the shorcut (I'm pretty sure). I've done a few virus checks, and nothing seems to be working.

I'm running Windows 98, and Internet Exporer 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've also been to the Microsoft Website, but there doesn't seem to be any help their.

    Thanks.

Have you tried going to a site like ad-aware to see if imesh has particularly nasty spyware? Sounds like you got an unwanted bonus with your download.

If reinstalling IE6 doesn't work, have you tried removing IMESH and then reinstalling IE6 to see if that fixes it?

Are you on Win98 SE or the initial release of Win98? As a last ditch effort you could try to reinstall win98 back on top of your current installation. Before you do anything that major, backup all of your data.

You should seriously consider Windows 2000...
