I'm sure everyone is tired of all the desperate pleas for tech help from morons like me, but I'm stumped...

I bought a new ThinkPad laptop. I also decided I wanted a big monitor, so I bought a docking station and a 19' Dell flat screen. It's great....except....

After using my laptop wherever, and putting the laptop in the docking station I have problems on the startup. It turns on and the IBM startup screen shows up on the monitor, then it just stops on that screen. Forever. If I turn it off and turn it right back on, it starts up fine, but I don't understand what's going wrong the first time.

    Any ideas???

(p.s. the computer seems to tart up fine in the docking station without the monitor attached)

ummmm...Not sure. I have it set on "Multiple Monitors" under Display Properties in the Control Panel. Is that what you are referring to?
