absolutely! is it refurbished or is it from a friend? that's a great deal! the only thing missing is a CD-RW, but you can get them pretty cheap...
I think it is a good deal. from www.newegg.com OEM Athlon XP 1800 CPU - 76$ Kingmax 256MB DDR 2700 Chip - 72$(2) = 144$ Western Digitalr 60GB OEM 7200rpm drive = 89$ MSI K7T266 PRO2-A (MS-6380 6380-070) 266MHz FSB ATX DDR IDE USB 2.0 MOTHERBOARD - RETAIL = 90$ Just these 4 components alone, no video, cd, etc = 399$ So I would buy it. Do you get any OS or a warranty?
Seriously, are you just trying to show off? What the hell is wrong with you. I am drunk.... are you? Hey everyone! Does it feel good to be drunk? Let me know what you think?
OMG, the nerds descended the same minute I made my cool drunk post. My element of surprise was ruined!
If you think it's cool to announce to an entire BBS full of people that you don't know how drunk you are at 6pm while running to the Internet to post...you're wrong. That is just about the lamest thing I have ever heard. Enjoy...
It's a fairly good deal. I'm not crazy about the IBM Hard Drive though -- if it's a 60gxp or a 75gxp, you are in for a dead drive within a year . . . more than likely at least. Personally, I'd be a little wary of someone selling something like that at such a low price. It's not that it's unfeasable -- heck, I built a BUNCH of similar systems this summer for $310 each, but unless he's ordering at academic pricing and in large volume, there may be some catch to this, like a refurb mobo and refurb drives, etc.
