made me laugh that the supposed most dominant center in the NBA got benched via statistics http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=reuters-nbacomputers&prov=reuters&type=lgns
I'm sure the statistics get into all of this, but there would obviously be a lot of questions: does it take account which 5 players are on the court for the other team, for example, among a hundred or so other factors that could come into play.
This could well be a Red Chicom conspiracy to marginalize the MDE and to promote Yao. For those who don't know, Lenovo is a PRC-based computer company. For those who lack a sense of humor, this is a joke.
People have been saying for quite some time that Shaq's free throw shooting is a liability at the end of games. I don't think we needed a computer to tell us.
I don't think that's an issue; Really this is not news, 82games.com has had the same findings up for months now. http://www.82games.com/0506/0506MIA2.HTM The thing about this is...while the Heat's offense gets worse when Shaq leaves - the Heat's defense gets a LOT better when Alonzo is, so much so that the net difference favors Alonzo; that's all.
during the finals i was rooting for the heat, like every red blooded rocket fan. it made me pretty mad that shaq even got on the court in the 4th quarter. it was obvious that zo is more mobile on defense, just as good at rebounding, and shaq couldn't even get going on offense.
What a comeback by Zo. Just a few years ago, the guy's career was supposed to be over, but he comes back to Miami, wins a title, and eclipses Shaq.
