I'm looking for a component switcher. Like this (link), but one that doesn't suck. lol I know I can get them online, but I'm looking for something I can pick up today or tomorrow. Looking to spend less than $100, if possible. Any help would be appreciated!

    Check out RadioShack.

I'm looking for something similar, but for HDMI.

Or, for digital optical audio cables.

check out frys. I have the joytech 540c with remote and it costed me 33 bucks. It has 5 inputs and even acts as a network hub to split your network connection between your BD players and gaming consoles as well as your HTPC. remote is good if you have a harmony so you can program it to switch.

    http://www.joytech.net/products.php...productID=106&ProductName=Control-Center-540C

It looks kind of like an xbox as it was designed to be used along with it but you don't need an xbox to use it. There ws another joytech one that looke dmore like a audio component but I went with the 540c because it has a smaller footprint

It's near the gaming area right before you get PC software. It's right next to the x-arcade joysticks.

You won't get this until early next week, but monoprice.com gets you the most bang for you buck. You could buy one from walmart and use it over the weekend, then take it back once you get your monoprice switch.

Yup. Only thing missing is HDMI but my TV has 4 HDMI ports so I'm good on that. I have my PS3 and my U-verse STB connected to it. I'm going to connect my TV to it as well so when NBA games are broadcasted on OTA I can watch in higher HD quality with surround sound.

you can edit the text of each input as well to say whatever you want it to say as well so that's a nice labeling feature. You can dim the display so it's not so distracting as well when you're watching movies.

Cool. Might have to consider getting this. I only have 1 HDMI on my tv. :(

I have been unplugging my optical cable from my PS3 to my DVR cable box for the best sound.

My only gripe with it is....it's white. Everything, including my furniture is black.

Do you have ONE component INPUT on your TV and want to switch from two or more component devices?

If you're only interested in COMPONENT, but no HDMI or RCA, Wal-Mart has a couple of those by RCA and Philips, but I don't remember the price or the model number. Stop by the local wal-mart for help. I have seen them there.

get it off monoprice. Best price almost always, and always good quality.

I got a 4 port HDMI switch from there since my TV only has 1 HDMI input

Then get the joytech 240c. It comes with a silver faceplate or a black faceplate. it's only missing an additional ethernet port on the hub and i believe 2 optical inputs but has a total of 3 which usually is plenty. It's wider than the 540c but being you can get it in either color you should be able to match it with yoru black components. I saw it for 39.99 at Frys. Possilbly cheaper elsewhere online. I couldn't find a picture of the black one but I know it exists.

Pretty good price if all he needs is component switch. has a remote to :). CC had something like this by nexttech for 10 bucks but w/o remote during their liquidation sale.

The one I posted though has a network hub and has inputs for optical audio which was a must for me as I don't even use the component switch part. I use it for the network hub and the optical switching.

I'm not sure how secure this website is but here is the joytech 240c in black for 29.99

The Electronic Parts Outlet store on Fondren will have what you're looking for at a reasonable price.

Awesome! Thanks for the inputs! EPO...damn haven't been there in forever.

Optical inputs is a must for me. My surround sound doesn't has an hdmi in.

That Joytec looks nice. And that other one is freaking tiny! (dollar bill size)
