http://www.maddenguides.com/roster.htm Yeah... I'm a Madden freak. And now that these rosters are out, I'm already planning my personnel moves in franchise... err... owner mode... I'm glad that my boy Chris McAlister is back in the 90s. He had no business being only 88 last year! Physical cornerbacks rule. And for Cowboys fans (like me), and Texans fans (like most of you), Terence Newman and Andre Johnson are both total pimps at 82 overall as rookies. Now if only I could bring myself to think about anything besides Madden while I wait for it to come out...
Hehe...I had to look the new Cowboys ratings to see how they play. Saw Roy Williams was a 90, which is cool. I don't remember a lot of the ratings from last year. Checked out Newman's specific ratings, and...uh...man, he's fast. I knew he was fast..but man. Oh yeah...DARN YOU SHOCKEY! DARN YOU TO HECK! I think that will probably be the last time I say that..unless I see a Vida Guerra pic.
http://www.football-gaming.com/ratings/ This site shows everyone's madden 2003 and madden 2004 overalls, but no specific ratings (the specific ratings they give are their own ratings that they made up). So it doesn't tell you a lot, but it's still a nice little reference for checking how much better guys got overall. So, for your information, Roy Williams was 82 overall last year. I think the biggest risers were Derek Ross (59 to 82) and Mario Edwards (64 to 80).
Drex- I think that first link may be old, because I couldn't find any of the rookies of this year on there, and the ratings don't align with the ones you posted from 'football-gaming.' Anyhow, yeah, I can't wait either. I enjoy NCAA tremendously, but I like the contrast that the two games offer, and I'm much more hyped for the NFL season in part due to my fantasy football addicition. Last year, I think I mostly played dynasties with Tennessee, STL and Denver. I'll probably do the same this year, with a little Houston sprinkled in. A friend of mine and I were talking back when we were playing a dynasty together about how a player's performance on Madden totally dictates your opinion of them in real life. Like, if a guy constantly drops a ball for your team in Madden, the bias of "he sucks" and " I wish I could kick his ass" seems to carry over into real life. Or is it just us??
Are you sure? I barely looked at it and found the Cowboys 1st and 2nd rd rookies from this past draft. Maybe you didn't wait long enough? I think the site takes A LONG TIME to finally finish.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, but the specific ratings on football-gaming are NOT Madden ratings, they are football-gaming's own ratings of what they think the Madden ratings SHOULD be. However, they do give just the Madden OVERALLS from the last two years. And that first link definitely does have all the rookies. I got that feeling too, but then again I don't often look at a list of every player in the league...
That's Lavar Arrington. He didn't want to join the players' union, and he's always made a big stink about it. There was even a story one time about how he got hella pissed when this kid asked him to sign a trading card of him, and he hadn't authorized his name being on any trading cards. Still, when you play the game, you can just immediately change his name to Lavar Arrington, and the commentators will call him by name.
Good Find DF, for those interested, this page transfers over to excel really nicely which makes it alot easier to read.
Thanks for mentioning that. The thing that bugs me the most about it is that the key for what rating each column is is only at the very top. Very annoying and tough to read.
might be the wrong thread, but i´m still goint to ask.... you guys think, the 2004 games (nhl, nfl, nba) are going to be better than the 2k4 games??
I have consistently liked... NBA 2K better than NBA Live, Madden better than NFL 2K, and NHL 2000 better than NHL 2K. I have a feeling it's not going to change. I just like the basic gameplay style in those three the best.
the franchise mode in 2k3 is far better then the lousy one in nbalive... guess madden will be my only "ea-sports" game this season... hopefully ff x-2 will arrive pretty soon....
Terrell Owens- 97 speed? Ha. Yes, he is good at running after the catch, but it is more of a product of breaking tackles, than burning by DBs.
Anybody know when this game will hit the stores? EASPORTs says August 14th, but if I remember correctly NCAA came out about 2 days earlier than what the easports said. Anybody have an inside track?
I pre-ordered online from ebgames and my copy is sitting in the Fed Ex office in Denver, CO right now.
anyone like the game play of ncaa 2003 better than that of madden 2003? i thought that the ncaa version was more realistic, even though the graphics of both were similar
I got a call today saying that I can pick up my copy of Madden tomorrow night after 8 pm at Game Spot (game stop? I always forget which it is.) I'm pumped....played NCAA all weekend with my friend, and definitely played some classic games.
