I'm trying to install this new game I got. The install got screwed up so I tried to uninstall and install again, but the uninstall screwed up. So now, when I put the disk in the prompt comes up with five options.1)Play -doesn't do anything.2)Options- Nothing relavent...colors, resolution, crap like that. 3) Uninstall-doesn't do anything.4)link to their internet site. 5)exit I've done a search on my computer, and I can't find any files for this game, yet the prompt gives me an uninstall option instead of a install option. Any advice?
hmmm. There are manual ways to remove it (including registry editing) but I'll stick with the basics first... Have you tried reinstalling it on top of the old installation? Sometimes if the uninstaller files are corrupted/incomplete, doing that will allow you to uninstall it properly afterwords. Who knows, maybe the game will even run correctly then. If you are running ME or XP, you can also try using System Restore to revert back to your previous state...
