Comp guru's is this ad blocking software for real?

    Pop-ups are the devil and I would love to have them stopped, but downloading into my windows file makes my rosebud pucker if you know what I mean. Is this thing on the up and up?

    They work and I highly recommend them.

    Go to www.panicware.com

    If use this ad pop-up stopping software for the last 7 months and have never had a a pop-up get through. Furthermore, its never created any conflicts with my system.

    Just a note, when you download the one I have recommended, make sure you enable aggressive pop-up control. That way, its gets all of them. If you come to a website where you do need a pop up window to come up, all you have to do is hold down the cntrl key when you click on it and that will disable the pop-up stopper.

    quick note.

    I've advocated PUK on this BBS in the past. I recount my statement. Don't use it. Somehow the thing bogs down your upload/download speeds in its effort to block pop-ups.

    I'm in the process of looking through its code to see if I can fix it myself. Shh... don't tell anyone! ;)
