In matters of national security, an investment in a company by the government is very common. Globally it's even more common. Intel = semiconductors = a matter of national security with the AI revolution. Lockheed Martin = planes and weapons = a matter of national security. Trump is not seeking to nationalize companies that do not fit this description... and a 10% minority ownership stake in Intel is hardly nationalization...

The same liberals that wanted our entire economy shut down for the COVID virus are now trying to lecture us on what is capitalism? Nah, that doesn't work.

Personally, I'd say this has very little to do with communism.
I doubt these moves are meant to benefit the people or redistribute the profits from the industries in any meaningful way.

It does have a whiff of authoritarianism because it seems that much of the decision-making is being made on the whim of one person. And there also seems to be some coercion involved to get the companies to do what this one person wants.

 

I don’t think there is an ideological system here with any consistency other than a constant blatant effort to consolidate as much power as possible to one man. One blowhard corrupt convicted criminal and a rapist.

But yes you make a great point that MAGA supporters are full of sh$t. If Obama or Biden admins took a 10% share of intel they would be losing their minds, and they would 100% all be calling it communism.

Trump and MAGA’s ideology is pursuant to a Trump dictatorship. That’s the only thing consistent about their ideology. No I didn’t say that Trump is currently a dictator… but he clearly is trying to become one and basically all Trump supporters have shown their cards that they want that as well at nearly any cost. Even putting that pursuit well above Christian principles and the values of Jesus.

Trump literally encouraged his idiot followers to forcefully stop the peaceful transfer of power. They wanted to hang Mike Pence. Trump is the greatest threat to democracy in our nations history.

 

You really want this admin even remotely having the possibility of making healthcare related decisions for you?

 

I did, before the election, point out that the attacks on Harris as a communist or socialist are not just deliberate lies, but that Trump, who isn’t for either of those ideologies either, is actually much closer to the claim than Harris ever was.

I doubt you’d get any honest debate on this from anyone on the right here. Most are either too ignorant, dumb, trolling, or outright lying. Too bad, because what’s going on is actually very important.
