Okay, Ming is supposedly an excellent player. Big body w/ shooting guard skills and that is extremely rare. He will add offensive punch to any team and pretty good help side defense. But okay, does anyone besides me get TIRED of this saga. There are questions about if this guy can really be the guy we all want him to be anyway and w/ all this added stress and drama. We have the number one pick in the draft, we are tryin to give him the best rookie deal in the history of bball, and there are constant problems. There are more than just one contributing bball player in this draft. If we get Lamar Odom, Kandi, 8, 12 and trade away Mo T or Cato, Glenn Rice, #1. Then trade away KT, #12, and the #15 for the rights to Caron Butler our team is made exponentially better. We add depth, toughness, we dump some huge contracts, if we draft right we can add height w/ the number 8 (Borchart or Hilario) pick. Odom is then made expendable if he wants too much after this year w/ Butler having a year to develop. With time we will look BETTER THAN THE KINGS. :D I know some people will hate on this post and I understand that my logic may not be perfect but maybe its time to see past Ming and his allure for a more practical solution.

honestly my brotha, bring on the #2 pick!! Boy, I wish we could nab Lamar, Caron, and Curtis/Nene, but that is like 100% completely totally unfeasible and impossible.

    Ah...what a dream draft, though.

Its looking like 3 or 4 is the lowest we can trade down and get Butler- why risk it make a statement and choose CB #1. Are there any decent deals we could make and still grab CB- this is assuming the Rockets even want him- i think they do...

I've heard Danny Fortson and the #3 for the Rockets #1 straight up.

From what I hear, we won't be doing any deals with GS or NY...Especially Golden State, they deserve to be screwed...NY has little things of value for us

Really not much out there that will keep us in the top 3 - Fortson would give us some much needed rebounds- and another big body - 6' 8" 260 - fairly easy and somewhat beneficial trade. They take jay williams chicago takes ming- can I speculate a bit more with 20 days left?

Fortson would give us yet another player at pf but if a deal could be worked out where we sent KT or Mo and were able to pick up a future pick, it would be a great deal.
