I am going to be in town for three weeks, and I am wondering what is there to do. The only things I am set on doing are going to Austin for my Buckeyes and Galveston to see some water. Any other suggestions for things to do in September?
i wouldnt goto that one, its too damn small for the number of people that goes, theres basically only 5 water rides there, and when i was there the lines where soo long that i was always dry by the time it was my turn to ride.
Well, he asked and it is certainly one of the most profound cultural experiences we have in Houston along with maybe the Rothko Chapel and the Orange Show. And it's air conditioned so that's a plus.
To me , the NASA visit is a drag, Oh, drive by the outdoor rocket display on the way over to dinner in Kemah, but they don't really show you anything too interesting on the tour. As far as beaches go, Galveston ain't much either, maybe a quick day trip to East beach and across the ferry and back to see the ship channel then dinner on The Strand. The water was pretty warm, flat and sandy brown last weekend (I actually prefer swimming it warm though). Haven't been to Schlitterbahn somebody on this board went and a lot of fun. It's over on the West Bay side.
i was in blazing hot htown last weekend. go to Frenchy's fried chicken near UH. get the chicken, biscuits, sweet potato pie, red beans and rice and strawberry soda!
Another thing, go to the Body World's Exhibit in the Museum. It runs till Sept. 8th. Cheaper if you go after 3PM, I think.
