Exactly, I was waiting for this list to get completed and Richard Pryor is a well-deserved recipient of the top spot. In fact, if Pryor wasn't in the top three this list would've been considered bogus by my standards. He changed the face of comedy.

It's all taste. I like pretty much the entire top 10 except Lenny Bruce who I just didn't care for and I never liked Bill Hicks. Just not my style of humor.

if eddie griffin didn't quit being a comedian for basketball, he would have ranked much higher.

and rosanne bar at #9? if i was anyone lower on the list than her i would kill myself right now. obviously the list was made up by the six people that actually work for comedy central.

I love it how they threw Rossanne and Ellen in there so high. Wait, no, I hate that.

I'm all for PC but that's horrible.

Hey Jeff, I remember posting a thread a year or two ago about the top comedians and you said you were a big fan of Pryor. Which of his routines did you like the best. My favorite was Richard Pryor: Live.

I've never understood the appeal of Woody Allen. Bill Cosby should be top 3 probably. Anybody that can make people laugh for this long without cursing is genius.

Also, I don't know of any comedians less funny than #97 and #99. How those 2 made it and no mention of Steve Harvey in the list is a travesty! And since when is Letterman a funny comedian? Good grief.

The 100 greatest... I think that list is slightly watered down - maybe the 20 or 25 greatest, but a 100 I don't think so.

    Live on the Sunset Strip

My favorite stand-up guy on that list is probably Carlin, but there are a lot of guys and gals on there I like. I definitely think Ellen deserved her ranking. She's hilarious.

My latest favorite is Brian Regan. He is so funny, I can barely listen to a whole routine I laugh so hard.

I've heard quite a bit of Hicks' stuff. I know some people who knew him too since he was from Houston.

I'm just not a big fan of the loud, obnoxious, piss people off humor.

Man, what a burn on a great comic like Seinfeld to rank behind freakin' Rosanne. When was she ever funny?

Albert Brooks, Andrew Dice Clay, Joey Bishop and Sandra Bernhard make the list, but Jim Belushi, Lucille Ball and Red Skelton don't?

Does Kovacs belong in this category?

Overall, this list doesn't seem right to me.
