If anybody hasn't had a chance to watch the T-Mac comeback against the Spurs go to http://www.nba.com/features/nestle/crunch_time_dec2004.html and scroll down to T-Mac's clip. Click on "300k" and you can view it I also have a T-Mac video mix from his days with the Magic. However, it has a song from rapper Eve in the background which is not edited for profanities. As long as there are not any minors in this forum, i don't believe it will offend anybody. The video is nice. I have some other T-Mac highlights (brief clips) if anybody is interested. Here's the link: http://s33.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2TQO91SSQUK5E1D357LACB9HTH
I don't know if you noticed, but when you go to the NBA website, you can click on a blue button "full" and you can view it full screen. Or you can right click on the picture and open it on Realplayer or Windows MEdia Player.
You can save it as a link, so when you click on it it plays the video without having to go to the website. They constantly change the clip address though, so it might be valid for 2-3 days. As far as saving the clip file, I don't think you can do that. R2K probably knows more about that
I'd also be interested in finding out if there's an easy way to capture the current wave of streaming video files. A few years ago, it was pretty easy. On NBA.com, for instance, in the past all you had to do was right click in the video window and select "play in RealPlayer." Once in RealPlayer, you could then go to File -> View Clip Info, and you could find the source file url (usually a path to a *.rm file), then copy/paste that url into NetTransport or FlashGet to get the video file onto your harddrive. Now it seems those IT/CS/Web Security? folks have gotten smarter. That old method doesn't work. They have some sort of security algorithm or something such that you cannot see the source file location. Googling turns up ProjectURL Snooper and WMRecorder. ProjectURL Snooper seems to indicate that such newer streaming files are pieced together from different encrypted locations. And I could never get WMRecorder to work. Supposedly it is able to capture the new types of secure streaming video. It seems like all the major media outlet websites (MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc) have taken similar security measures to prevent capturing of their streaming media content. These are questons that probably only IT or Comp Sci professionals could easily answer. As you can probably tell I am nowhere near knowing my a** from a hole in the ground when it comes to this stuff. If anyone out there in the know would like to enlighten, please feel free!
well...I am a IT guy...but the only experience I have dealing with video is what yall know about...I dont deal with streaming video or the securing of it.. but... since the topic was the Comeback.. I can help Rox Comeback vs Spurs this has both the extended version that shows the last minute starting with Yaos putback slam to the finish...and the last play with Gene Peterson's call from the radio broadcast(Big thanks to Miguel on that one)...enjoy.
I downloaded the "torrent" and then the video clip which took about 45 minutes. It seems the fastest way to get the clip is to first download the highlights and then the main clip (you get higher priority because other people get to upload the highlight clip from your machine).
you download the torrent file. Then you need a program like Bitcomet(wich i use). i do not have a link but somebody else will probably have it. Then you open the torrent file in that program, and he will download it for you. Hope it helps.

Here's another link for the Tmac mix. Can somebody post a link of the Spurs comeback on yousendit? http://s27.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0LZSUW5I4VEJT3DTA6LXS0SGNA
I digitally captured the RealMedia stream from the NBA site (it was tricky): http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1Q1Q1Q3GL9ZYY3BTQDE8CVB0XO I think you'll find R2K's clip better, though. -- droxford
