You hit your J's now and then. You don't stand there stupidly at the 3-point line while your man is catching a pass at the basket for an uncontested jam. You don't fumble away a behind-the-back pass from a 7'6" center right under the opponent's hoop.

Do you need work? Sure. Do you need less work than the guy who's standing in for you? God, yes.

I don't think Mr. Mobley will be enough to solve the problems we have now in order to win games.

I think Cat will do wonders for this offense, if nothing else because he has a consitent jump shot.

Furthermore, I think Steve strugles without Cat. Like Batman without Robin.

It's just like that Sean Paul song, "Gimme the Light". People are finally seeing the value of having Cuttino Mobley on this team.

Huh? No doubt we need Cat -- his jumper, his energy, his points -- and for sure he's an improvement over who we're making due with now. But he still is a posterboy for uglyball.

We need Cat but we should use him the same way Seattle uses Desmond Mason -- Off the bench.

    6 MAN OF THE YEAR

He should provide a scoring punch w/ the second unit and spell Stevie -- Nothing more. Hawk works better w/ Glenn Rice. We cannot have two weak defenders on the wings.

There's a reason that Hawkins is a back-up and Mobley is a starter. Hawkins is a GREAT back-up don't get me wrong, but you can't just pull a 20 ppg scorer out of your line-up and say "Our offense is fine because he back-up shooting guard is passing the ball better", especially when this team is having a tough enough time as it is manufacturing points. We're surviving on defense alone, and while that is great, this team needs to score.

Why not just divide Cat's points between Rice and Yao? And let Cuttino off the bench as an instant spark plug?

How exactly do you "divide Cat's points"? And can I get in on some of the action?

With an Atom spliter. I heard they sell them at ACE hardware.:D

Really we do need Cat back and he is a starter. Cat is no different than any other starting SG in the league. As Rocket fans we over analyze his game along with other Rocket players. We want perfection for 48 minutes, now that is not to much to expsect.

Lets see if Rudy really brings Cat from the bench when he returns. Rudy nromally 'eases' people back into rotation.

I really like the idea of the Cat as the spark of the bench, though he shoud play the end of the game.

Man Cat's gonna start and get all his minutes back as soon as he comes back. I know Rudy sees alot more in Cat then some of the fans he knows Cat's offense is important to the team and they will need everybody's offense to Win against good teams.

Now that Yao Ming is established in the post, having Mobley back for his spot up shooting alone would be a huge plus. Between Mobley and Rice, one of them will be open. However, I kind of like having Hawkins playing a good chunk of time though, he seems to be the best defense option at the 2 right now.

We need Cat's scoring, just not all of his mistakes.

I haven't seen anyone make more bonehead plays recently than Cat. Like a real cat - quick reflexes and no brain.

Actually I like Mobley, and you're right, without Mobley its like Batman with no Robin. We just need Robin to stop shootin himself in the foot.
