Enes measured about an inch taller than I thought in shoes :)

Not a lot of height in this draft is there.

Wow, Thompson is really undersized for a PF, that is going to hurt his stock. It is a good thing measurables don't mean as much in the NBA as in the NFL.

Gary Flowers might be a first rounder with that wingspan and athleticism though.

I wouldn't call him really undersized. He did have a 9'0.5 standing reach, that combine with his athleticism and quickness, could even give him an edge at the 4 spot.

Well he is the same height as Derrick Williams, who many consider to be an undersized power forward. Thompson is a good guy though, and he will be a really good role player for some team.

Standing Reach is more important than height, and a 9 ft standing reach is not undersized, its right on target. Not spectacular but not lacking either

    Guy Marc-Michel.. 7'1" with a 9'7" reach.. Is he going un-drafted?

Jimmer Fredette is shorter than previously imagined. And he is going to fare better in the NBA than JJ Redick why?

NBADraft.net has knocked him down some slots accordingly.

Also surprising: Kanter is taller than Keith Benson, the "legit" 7footer that everyone wanted us to draft in the second round. I'm starting to wonder if moving up to 2 to get him might actually be worth it.

Jordan Hamilton, Kawhi Leonard, and Chris Singleton all measure out really well for SF's. I would be happy if we took any of these three. Surprisingly, even though Leonard's the shortest at 6'7, his 7'3 wingspan gives him easily the tallest standing reach among them all at 8'10.

We need to draft either Nikola Vucevic or Jeremy Tyler with one of our lower picks. These two guys measured terrific at the combine and have been impressive at workouts.

Nikola or tyler could be interesting pickups with our second round pick if he lasts that long. Also, Faried with the 23 could be a steal.

Can someone please explain this discrepency to me?

    Justin Harper - 6'8" w/o shoes 6'8.75" w/shoes - 0.75 difference

    Kemba Walker - 5'11.5" w/o shoes 6'1" w/shoes - 1.5 difference

Why do some players get 1.5-2 inches added with shoes and some less than an inch? Doesn't make any sense to me. Why wouldn't every player wear the shoes that add 1.5+ inches? Why do they even do this measurement, why not just add an inch across the board for w/ shoes measurement?

One person (PF/C) being heavier than another (PG).

The big men are heavier so they push their shoes down more (like Coach Badlee stated) and certain players aren't comfortable wearing heels on the court, it throws them off balance. A lot of smaller PG's like Darren Collison, Chris Paul, Aaron Brooks etc. like having a low center of gravity that allows them to swivel in and out of traffic.

I dunno if little guys necessarily "like" being little, they just make the most of what they got. You think Steve Nash wouldn't kill to be Magic Johnson's height? That JJ Barea wouldn't murder his entire Hobbiton village to not be 5'8?

Overall the point is that everybody in the NBA inflates their height 1-3 inches. I'm 5'10 and maaaybe a quarter flat-footed, if I was in the NBA I'd be listed at 6'0 and taller than Aaron Brooks (this has been proven in person btw).

No doubt the heights are inflated and it's a huge advantage to have the tools of a PG in Magic or TMac's body. I'm specifically talking about minor differences in shoe thickness and why it shouldn't just be a consensus 1"/2" added to everyone's heights. The difference between 6'0 1/4 and 6'0 3/4 isn't going to make or break you at the combines, but it could have a bearing on how well you perform in the speed, lateral exercise and shooting drills. That's why shoe heights vary, from what I know.

Some people just wear thicker shoes. I would imagine a player wears the same shoes for the measurement as he does for doing all the drills at the combine... so yeah, you can technically wear platforms, but then you'd have to play in them.

According to draftexpress, it takes a few days for these to get fully processed and released.
