Thinking Basketball podcast combined the last 3 draft classes and drafted the first 14 picks. They also had 4 flyers and one kind of honorable mention. Of those 19 players, how many Rockets do you think were mentioned? Brace yourselves, oh sensitive patrons of CF. Here are the their 14 draft picks: 1. Wemby 2. Mobley 3. Paolo 4. Scoot 5. Cade 6. Franz 7. Jalen Williams 8. Trey Murphy III 9. Scottie Barnes 10. Chet 11. Walker Kessler 12. Keegan Murray 13. Austin Reaves 14. Jaden Ivey Flyers: Coulibaly, Cason Wallace, Dyson Daniels, Giddey Honorable mention: Tari Eason So, CF, it's the off-season. Let's get crazy. What would be your 14-pick draft when combining the last 3 drafts? Considering our whole organizational plan was to tank the for the last 3 draft classes, I thought this would be a fun exercise.
The narrative will change once we start winning Need to get that stench off after a horrendous 3 years

It's pretty understandable when you take off the homer glasses and look at what the young Rockets draft picks have actually done rather than the fantasies of their fanbois. I'd probably have it a bit different, but I understand why that might be the national perception as of right now.
This list is going to look ridiculous by just the end of this year, even more in 3 years, as long as we don't get Stoned or Patricked.
Mobley was 3rd in DPOY voting last year for a reason. That's exceptional for a 2nd year player. He has All-NBA potential. I don't know that I'd have him at #2 but it's not outlandish. Anyway, Thinking Basketball is good stuff. Check out their YouTube channel for some great videos.
Mobley is so limited offensively…he will never be the real leader or engine of a team putting the squad on his back and carrying them deep into the postseason Mobley so far has been the most overrated thing since In-N-Out this guy had 48% TS in the playoffs as a big who creates nothing for himself going against the Knicks and their legendary frontcourt
He and Allen both played horribly against the Knicks. No doubt. I don't know if that's a frontcourt that works long-term. Allen, especially, was bad. But as far as really young players, I don't think anyone else in the league has been as good as he's been defensively. Again, he was 3rd in DPOY voting. I don't think we should hand wave that away because of 6(?) shitty games the first time he went to the playoffs, especially considering that 99% of players from the last 3 drafts haven't even played a meaningful role on a playoff team yet.
Banchero Scoot Cade Wagner Trey the 3rd/Mathurin Mobley Sengun/Giddey Keegan Jalen Jalen Williams Ivey Reaves Barnes . . . . . . . Garuba . . Nix . . Wemby Chet I'm not fan of chopsticks
How many of those guys have logged zero NBA minutes? What they've "actually done" is literally nothing. Exactly as much as your average clutchfans poster. Just some Wembanyama buttkissery. Get used to it. He's going to be so average for a few years, ESPN is going to tell it was great anyway. Then he'll be like a little better but get hurt all the time. They think they have a cash cow, they're going to ride 'em.
wtf is cason wallace doing anywhere near that list lol 1. Scoot 2. Paulo 3. Wemby 4. Sengun 5. Green 6. Chet 7. Bari 8. Wagner 9. Cade 10. Amen 11. Barnes 12. Ivey 13. Mobley 14. Jalen Williams
Just for fun, let's see what DARKO thinks about some of these players 2. Mobley - pretty solid numbers across the board 3. Paolo - His defense is nearly as bad as Jalen's and his offense isn't as good. Pretty clear he shouldn't be ranked this high...but that's now national perception works sometimes. 6. Franz 7. Jalen Williams 8. Trey Murphy III 11. Walker Kessler 12. Keegan Murray 13. Austin Reaves 14. Jaden Ivey- Yeah, that's just awful, another guy that CLEARLY is highly overrated Honorable mention: Tari Eason I think it's fair to say this list has some odd picks, and it's fair to say that Tari is somewhat underrated.
