Now I know I said they should lose their last 2 games to try to move a little higher in the draft. I sort of feel the same, but I also have a feeling the Texans are going to breakout against the Colts and avenge the Titans loss. I hope the season ends out w/ a bang. If not, here we come after Sean Taylor....
I think the Texans will lose, but it'll be another close one...Indy has to bounce back after getting spanked to Denver... Texans: 21 Colts: 35
This will be the second time this year the Texans will play a team formaly known as the Texans. First it was KC and now the Colts. I have a feeling that The Texans will be fired up, with a healthy, confident Carr, DD and AD ready to get their 1000 yds. Texans 24 Colts 17
then they can't win! can you imagine how much better this team could be with just something that resembles a pass rush?
Did y'all not watch the Sunday night game? Run, run, run is the key to beat Indy. Their D-line was getting pushed around like a pop warner club and the linebackers were either juked out of their shoes or couldn't hold onto the runner after initial contact. In 3 of Indy's 4 loses their opponent ran at least 38 times.
If we had the defense we had last year mixed with our offense this year the Texans would have won atleast 9 or 10 games this season. But back to reality..... Texans 27 Colts 21 Davis 25att 137yds 2td Johnson 6catches 70yds Team MVP Sharper Biggest Surprise D. Davis Let Down Season K. Wong/J. Gaffney
Lil Francis -- Gaffney shows flashes... but i'm right there with you on Kailee Wong...this guy came in so touted, and i just don't see why.
When was there another team called the Texans. I know the Chiefs were, but when and where were the team now known as the Colts in Texas? Anyway, I will be there cheering on the real Texans. I had hoped that Indy didn't have anything to play for. I'm torn between wanting to win because it keeps Indy from winning the division, but that means that the Titans probably win the South. Still want them to win. TEXANS 24 INDY 17...both AJ and DD get to 1000 yds.
Corey Bradford would be up there for me as well, maybe more so than Gaffney. The guy had a big catch against Miami and hasn't been heard from since. Agree on Wong. He's been a complete non-factor for 2 years now.
I was expecting a breakout season for Wong. I was hoping he could give us atleast 9 or 10 sacks. Charlie Clemons was a bad move as well. He looks like he is 270 playing outside linebacker.
It was. The team was the Dallas Texans only for 1952 and then went off to Baltimore for 1953 to replace a team that was called the Baltimore Colts that has disbanded in 1951. The 1953 version of the Colts is the one that exists today in Indy.
Wong has been a disappointment. Nice guy, really hot wife, but I thought he was going to be some sort of sack machine. Oh well, growing pains....
I had no idea. Well, maybe we can beat one of the former incarnations of the Texas tomorrow. We'll be out there bright and early getting ready for the game. It will be my first Texasns game. I went to Reliant earlier this year for the US v Mexico soccer game. What a great place. It was loud that night. I can't imagine what it will be like tomorrow.
Mr.Paige is wrong, codell is right. Mr.Paige, how in the hell did you think that the Colt's were originally the Dallas Texans???
I guess the fact that they were made me think that. (And I didn't say they were originally the Dallas Texans. I said the Dallas Texans became the Baltimore Colts. They were in New York just prior to moving to Dallas and in Boston prior to that). There are some who consider the Colts of 1953 to be a continuation of the old Colts franchise that stopped play a couple of years prior, but the bulk of the players were from that 1952 Dallas Texans team.
