Whoever mixed that audio needs to be fired. Hey let's have the background music 2x louder than Doug.

i think we might be potentially better than dallas, portland, and phoenix.

    although i realize that's a long shot.

Suns finish a surprising 6 seed,
    and Rockets 5 seed.

McGrady is the ultimate wildcard. He wants people to consider him a great player? Now is his opportunity to go out and prove everyone wrong by leading this team to the playoffs where anything can happen. I doubt he thinks that way and is just eager to prove his individual capabilities.

I feel collins right on the money with this prediction, we are at a similar level with the suns. Although I feel that they are slightly better than us. Offcourse if Tmac can come back and really LEAD this team, then we will be similar.

The top 6 teams are pretty much set.

    LA
    Spurs
    Denver
    Portland
    Dallas
    JIZZHOLES

May not be this order though. I feel that the 3 teams are going to fight it out for the last two spots. Us, the suns, and hornets. These 3 teams are at about the similar level, again for us, Tmac has to come back really REALLY strong.

I actually think the Jizzholes will be the odd team out, while the Rockets and Suns fight for the 7th seed.

I can see this happening. They are in a precarious position with Boozer. And no telling when/if AK-47 will wig out again. If they struggle early, look for a Boozer trade and if they continue to struggle, look for a Jerry/AK-47 explosion. Kirilenko isn't designed for Jerry's pressure.

I think if Tracy comes back in time, I think the Suns and The Rockets are tied in the sense of star power. We've seen Chuck hold his own against Amar'e. Frye is going to be the Suns' darkhorse. He'll finally be able to make a name for himself.

In the end, It's all going to depend on what playoff teams can we beat. That's going to be biggest deciding factor for us if we're going to be in the playoffs.

Better than Dallas?! LOL. Dallas is one of the top 3 teams in the West. Hands down!

Dallas could be a top three team. They aren't there yet... Shawn Marion is hurt and they have no real center.

All the elite teams in the West have a center.

    Define 'real center'.

8th is possible with a healthy and team oriented McGrady provided if he can show consistency.

Look at every elite team in the league and see who they play at center.

Dallas will struggle against teams like Spurs, Lakers, Blazers, and even the Nuggets.

I'm getting the feeling that people here on Clutchfans overrate the Hornets a bit. It is the consensus here that N.O will be better than Dallas/Portland/Utah? How about Phoenix?

Phoenix has more talent offensively but they don't care about defense. Last year, Porter tried to get the Suns to buy into a defensive philosophy and the team turned against him. After Porter was fired midway through last season, Alvin Gentry brought the run-n'-gun style back but it wasn't as effective as it used to be. The offense picked up dramatically but their defense truly suffered. The Suns' style was still able to beat the weaker teams like the Clippers and Thunder, but were easily defeated by the top notch teams like Boston, Lakers and San Antonio.
